It Only Took 20-Something Years....

......to get me to the Masters! Born and raised in the great city of Augusta, Georgia, never until today have I graced my eyes inside the gates of the Augusta National Golf Course. I must have rode down Washington Road hundreds of thousands of times, only to be barricaded by pines, magnolias and green fencing. But all that changed today! Thanks to our ever-so-gracious friends, the Collins and Halls, Michael and I got the opportunity to experience the opening practice round and golf phenomenon known as the Masters Tournament. It was also the epic "Return of the Tiger", making our first visit to the Masters even more thrilling. We had all but accepted the fact that Mr. Woods would probably lay low today, teeing off at sunrise and sparing us the sneak peak at the "World's Top Golfer", but low and behold, the first golfer we see tee off.....you guessed it!
All in all, it was an amazing experience to our newborn eyes. Michael, the "if he's not fishing, he's golfing" husband, and his wife, the "photographer chomping at the bit to capture history in the form of 91 men aiming to conquer perfectly manicured grass and azalea-framed greens" are officially Augusta National Patrons!

.....yeah, so I snuck one in of my handsome hubbby..... :)

*Thanks again to the Collins and Halls for this wonderful experience we will remember everytime we ride down Washington Road....
